1) This is the first time I am ordering online and wanted to know what the procedure is.

Step 1:  Shopping Cart - Browse our website or use our search box to find the title you would like to order. Then add the magazine to the shopping cart by clicking the "Buy" or “Add to Basket” button. You will then be taken to the shopping cart page. Once in the cart you will see your magazine. If you already receive the magazine check the "Renewal" box. Now you may either click the "Continue Shopping" button to add more titles to your order or click the "Checkout" button to place your order.

Step 2: Personal Details –you may select the payment option i.e. “Pay by Credit Card” or “Pay by Phone” Then you will have to enter your “Billing and Shipment Information”  

Step 3: Credit Card Information – Here you will be entering your credit card information and don’t you worry our website is 100% safe and secure as we at MagazineArena.com understand the importance of our client's safety and security. We use industry standard (SSL) technology to ensure secure data transfer from client browser to our web site such as Credit Card information and personal details. This target of securing all online transactions is achieved by using latest cutting edge technology of 128 bit SSL encryption. Step 4: Order Confirmation – In this screen if your order has been successfully processed it will display “Thank you for placing your order with MagazineArena.Com. Your First magazine issue will start arriving within six to ten weeks after we receive your order, but it does depend on the frequency of the magazine you've chosen. For more details please see our Frequently Asked Questions.

2) How long should it take before I receive my First Issue?
Usually, your first magazine issue will start arriving within six to ten weeks after we receive your order, but it does depend on the frequency of the magazine you've chosen.  
Magazine industry guidelines for starting or renewing a subscription are:

  • If the publication is a Weekly, you should start to receive your first issue in approximately four to six weeks,
  • If the publication is a Bi-Weekly or Monthly it usually takes approximately six to ten weeks to start.
  • If the magazine publishes Bi-Monthly or Quarterly, receipt of your first issue may take as long as ten to twelve weeks to start.
  • Daily Newspapers usually begin within 10 to 14 business days.

Once we receive your order, it will take a week or two for your subscription to be received and scheduled by the publisher, where it will then be included with the publisher's next production cycle and shipped via standard mail. For Example, if a subscription to a monthly magazine is ordered and received by the publisher in June, and the July or even August issue has already been labeled and/or mailed, your first issue would be included with the August or September mailing.

Please be assured that these are Standard Industry Lead Times, although it can vary from publisher to publisher. The actual delivery date of your first issue will depend on when the next issue is scheduled to be distributed by the publisher and how frequently the magazine you've ordered is published, although our system does allow the fastest processing possible. 3) Can I Cancel My Order and Request for a Refund?
All orders are fully cancelable as long as the cancel request is received within 48 hours of the time the order is placed either by phone, online or via email. After that, in most cases cancellations will not be accepted. There's a valid reason why we have this as our policy!

All orders are pre-paid to the publishers and processed promptly; so as to ensure that the subscription begins as quickly as possible. The Management at MagazineArena.Com negotiates with publishers for the lowest prices available by pledging that we will only process legitimate, pre-paid orders from customers who are sure of what they want when placing orders online or by phone. This saves time and money for all parties and it seems to work well. Unlike some of our competing websites online who cancel as much as 50% of all the orders they process.

We do realize and recognize that special situations may arise when a magazine ceases publication or editorial content changes. 4) Why, is the expiration date on my magazine label different from what's on your website or my subscription summary form?
The expiration dates shown on our site, or on our forms, are estimates because the publishers do not provide us with exact delivery dates. The actual expiration date is on the magazine label above your name. If the actual expiration date differs from our estimate, please contact a representative or use the self-service Expiration Date form.

The way the expiration date is presented on the magazine label should appear similar to the graphic below. For example, an expiration date of September 2011 may show up as either 10/11 or SE11 or SEP11, or even as specific as SEP 16 11. 5) Do You Deliver Outside Of The United States?

No, we are afraid at this time delivery at foreign locations outside the U.S is not being offered, but it would start soon. If and when it does, we will notify all our existing customers by an Email or by a courtesy call from one of our friendly customer service representatives.

6) What are the payment methods I can pay by?

We only accept VISA CARD and MASTER CARD! If and when we start accepting other credit cards or payment options such as Discover Card, American Express and Diner’s Club or Electronic Checks; we will notify all our existing customers by an Email or by a courtesy call from one of our friendly customer service representatives.


 



7) If I am renewing a subscription, should I also tell you when my current subscription ends or provide the subscription number?
No, there is no need to do that. The publishers will already have you in their database. All you need to do is ensure that the name and address you give us is the same as the name and address of your current subscription. The publisher will take care of the rest. 8) Do you automatically renew my subscriptions?
No; about four to five months before your subscription expires, one of our friendly customer service representatives may contact you by email or phone to find out if you want to renew. If you would like to renew through us at that time, we will gladly take your order. If we do not hear from you, your subscription will not be renewed by us.

9) How do I change the information or address on the shipping label of my magazine?
Once you have received your first issue, you should contact our customer service or the publisher directly and inform them of any changes that need to be made. This also applies if you move to another address.

If you are Moving within the U.S - Please change your address as soon as you know where and when you are moving. It takes the publishers around 8 weeks to make an address change so if you will be moving sooner than that notify the Post Office of your new address and specify that they should forward your magazines.

If you are Moving out of the Country - Orders placed through our services cannot be delivered outside of the U.S. If you are leaving the United States permanently we can cancel your magazine subscriptions. You may contact the publisher of the magazine directly to obtain information on rates and availability for your subscription to be mailed outside of the U.S

10) What happens if I face any delivery issues?
Although the publisher is responsible for sending your magazines, we will handle any delivery problems you are having. Back Issues - Some publishers use leftover copies from previous issues so they can start a subscription more quickly.

Delivery Timing -Most magazines are sent to subscribers around the same time they hit the newsstand, but it depends on the policies of the individual publisher. Some magazines will arrive on the newsstand before subscribers receive their copy. In addition, the date/day that each issue arrives may vary due to publisher or post office factors.

11) What do you do with my personal information?
Your personal information is kept confidential by us and only the name and address of the person receiving the magazine is supplied to the publisher. We NEVER sell our lists to any third parties. Read our privacy policy.

12) When will my credit card be charged for my order?
Your credit card will be charged at the time you place your order.  The reason being is all orders are pre-paid to the publishers and processed promptly; so as to ensure that the subscription begins as quickly as possible. 13) What happens after my order is placed? How is it shipped?
After you place your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us. We will then submit your order to the publisher through our clearinghouses. The publisher will then process your order and will ship the magazine to you via the U.S. Postal Service. After you receive your first issue, your account will be handled only by the publisher.

14) What if I face technical problems while on your site?
There are two things you can check when you experience problems on our website. First, please check your security settings in your browser. Our site sometimes has trouble if your security is set to 'high,' so you might try lowering it to 'medium.' Also, check to make sure 'cookies' and 'JavaScript' are set to 'enable.' After verifying both of these items you will need to close your browser, re-open it, and go back to our website. These settings are usually found in the 'Tool's menu of your browser under 'Internet Options.' If you continue to have problems then please feel free to call our toll free customer service.

15) Will I be getting a Confirmation Email?
You will receive an immediate confirmation email from MagazineArena.com detailing the contents of your order after submitting an order. Please add our website address http://www.magazinearena.com to your approved senders list to ensure that these emails don't go in your spam mail folder. If you established a User Id and Password during the ordering process you will be able to log in to your wish list account after you receive the final confirmation that your order has completed processing. 

16) Why do you need my email address?
We at MagazineArena.com maintain your account under your email address. Should a problem ever arise regarding your subscription, we would notify you via email.

17) Who will be sending me the magazines I order?
MagazineArena.com is your subscription agent, responsible for obtaining your magazine subscription orders. We submit our orders to various clearing houses, which in then submits the orders to the publishers. The publisher is responsible for sending out the magazine to you.

18) How can I find the magazine I want on your site?
To find your magazine, you can browse alphabetically, search by category, or simply enter the magazine name in the search box on top. On every page in our website you will find a search box and a complete magazine category listing for your convenience.

19) How can you sell the same magazines for much lower prices and much better service than the publishers and the clearinghouses?
There are several reasons:

1) unlike, the publishers, who usually sell only one title (their own); we are a magazine wholesaler with access to over 100,000 titles.
2) Unlike, the clearinghouses, we don't have a national spokesman and expensive advertising campaigns. We also don't have expensive gimmicks like those cute gummed little stamps to paste.
3) We require prepayment with your order so that you don't have to subsidize deadbeats who order magazines and then don't pay after getting one or two issues.  

20) Why haven't I received an Email Confirmation or a response from Customer Service?
After every order is placed on our website, we send out an email confirmation letter to the email address that you provide in your order. Additionally, when you email our customer service department at info@magazinearena.com , an automatic response is sent to let you know that we have received your inquiry. We then respond to every email inquiry within 24-48 hours. If you are not receiving email correspondence from us, please check your SPAM folder and SPAM filters to make sure that email messages from MagazineArena.com are able to be received! Please also make sure that the email address that you provide when placing your order is spelled correctly since any typos may result in non-receipt of your confirmation emails from us. 21) Does my subscription begin when I receive my first issue or at the time I place my order? 
Your subscription begins when you receive your first issue -- you will receive the full length of your order from that date going forward. The subscription does not start when you place your order. 

22) Can I send magazines to someone else? 
Yes. You can send magazines to anyone you choose, as long a they live in the United States.

23) Do you carry any other magazines besides the ones you show on your website?
Magazines are constantly changing and we are always adding new magazines to our website. Occasionally, magazines go out of business. 25) Is my information Secure or encrypted when it is sent over the web?
Our ordering system is 100% SSL secure. Our initial order pages use a preprocessing system which does not require SSL encryption. Your billing information is sent securely to our credit card processor.
